Callaway's Balloon Festival

We headed up to Callaway Garden's Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival. Beautiful site but very hot! The boys didn't want to ride on the balloons (they saw a balloon collide with a magnolia tree which changed their mind very fast about riding one) but they enjoyed watching them. We also rode on paddle boats. Jordan & Fred peddled (more Fred than Jordan) while Will and I sat on the back.

Fred and I would rather spend time in the "Garden" section of Callaway Gardens any day over the "Beach" section! There are way too many people and not enough trees in the beach area. Plus we prefer the peacefulness of the garden side.

Test Results

We got the test results (can you believe the same day). Jordan has an unknown cyst. Next week we will go to a surgeon to decide our next move (remove or leave it alone or do more test on it). I will update again about Jordan's "lemon" when we find out what the surgeon wants to do.

Jordan's Ultrasound

I was so proud of Jordan! He did great!!!!
The couldn't tell me any results but I did see the mass. She also did a comparison ultrasound of his left side. Now we get to do the hurry up and wait for results game.
Thank you for all of your prayers and kind words.

Lemon Update

The lemon is still there. The lemon still hurts. Tomorrow we will be getting his ultrasound. I am just ready to know what that thing is. I just hope he does better with the ultrasound tomorrow than he has in the past with other medical test.

Jordan's Lemon

Jordan now has an abdominal bump. No one knows what it is or how he got it. Jordan calls it his "lemon." We will be going to get an ultrasound later this week. I hate it that my poor baby has to have MORE TEST!!! I am so tired of him being subjected to medical test and I know he is tired of it!!!
Update - the ultrasound will be Thursday afternoon.

RED LIGHT - GREEN LIGHT

Due to the remains of Tropical Storm Fay, the boys have not been able to go outside this weekend. So their imaginations have come alive. Jordan found what we would call a simple box but to him it was a car. Fred opened up both ends, slid it over both of the boys, and voila, a car. The boys have been playing RED LIGHT - GREEN LIGHT.

Relaxing after the first week

How do the Maynard's relax after the first week of school?
We go to Callaway Gardens.
So who is shocked that I didn't have the boys in matching outfits?!? They picked out what they wanted to wear today.
Funny story to tell you about Will. While feeding the koi, Will called the really big ones "WHALES." If you know anything about Will, you know he yelled this and repeated it every time he threw food.

We survived WEEK ONE!

Jordan loves school and Will hates it. He was thrilled today when he realized he didn't have to go to school. Fred and I are just looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. The boys did have a great week (despite Will's wailing about going to school). I promise to post pictures of the boys relaxing this weekend.

Trying out something new

I found a new moviemaker thingy at Animoto. Click on the link and you will see my movie titled "First Days."

Will's First Day of "3-K" Preschool

Today was Will's first day of 3 year old preschool. He only goes three days a week. Nana and Papa get a break from grandkids and Will gets to play with kids his age. Will was not happy about leaving his Nana and Papa but he did. He said he had a fun. He also told me he missed his playground (normal kid).

Part 2 of Jordan's First Day of Kindergarten

Jordan had a great first day. The only thing that went wrong was he forgot his lunchbox at school but don't worry because Mommy bought more than one lunchbox.

If you are wondering, Will was lost without Jordan. He was so excited to pick him up from school. He said he missed his best friend Jordan.

Jordan's First Day of Kindergarten

Jordan did great this morning. I was more apprehensive than Jordan. My principal at Cusseta Road was nice enough to allow me to take Jordan to his first day of school.

Will's "3-K" Open House

Today was Will's 3 Year Pre-kindergarten Open House. Mrs. Jeanette and Mrs. Rita are his teachers. Will wanted nothing to do with either of them, so no pictures of them with Will. He didn't want me to take pictures of him, he just wanted me to hold him. He was excited about getting his playground back! The boys made themselves at home playing with toys.

Jordan's Kindergarten Open House

I can not believe Jordan will be starting KINDERGARTEN next week! Where did the time go? Tonight was his open house. He loved the wooden building blocks. Will made himself at home as you can see.

AUBURN

Today we went to Auburn to get our 2008 Tiger Rags football schedule posters. So we decided to take some pictures of the boys while on campus. As you can tell, Jordan is going through a phase of either giving us the "super cheese" look or the "silly face" look when I take pictures of him.

Will's Slideshow

Here is Will's slideshow. My 8 week premature baby who weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. I would still hate to know what his birth weight would have been if he was fullterm.
